One of my favorite colors is the lime green.  It's not as common to find as other greens, but I do find a fair amount of it.  I really like how this one turned out, the lime green is a great contrast against the dark brown.

This week my mom came across 2 bags with beach glass in them.  I'm thinking that they are from one of our trips to Sucia Island this summer.  I remember finding some of the pieces, some how they got put away and forgotten.  What a great surprise, look what was in there (and this is only the jewelry keepers)...
...check out that big blue one, oh what to do with that one...

Jadite

I found this piece of glass at the beach below Deception Pass.
Jadite is a type of glass that comes in a variety of pale milky green colors, resembling the color of the jade jem.  Jadite is a trademarked name that was originally given to a specific color of uranium glass.  You may recognize this color because it has become very popular and there are many reproductions.  Jadite was made popular in the 1920's and 30's, by the Jeanette Glass Company.  It was an inexpensive Depression Era glassware.  After doing some research, I found out that uranium glass has been made since the 1830's, with the Jadite version arriving in the early 1900's.  Uranium glass glows under a blacklight and also registers a slight radioactivity when tested with a Geiger Counter.  Not all Jadite was made with uranium glass, but I just might have to check out if this piece was.  Anyone got a blacklight?

A new twist on an old favorite.

My most popular necklaces so far have been the glass with the silver rings.  Well, I've expanded a little on that idea.  What do you think?

This weekend we had a wonderful weekend.  We spent it out at the bay.  Here is some of the seaglass that we found.  We found alot, this picture is of the seaglass that I thought that I could use in jewelry, all the other ones get put into my mom's glass fish in the condo. Thanks to my mom and Mariisa for scavanging the beaches with me, your necklaces will be made soon.

My Favorite

This is my absolute favorite necklace.  The necklaces with the rings are always a popular pick, and the browns always tend to go with a lot in my closet.
