Our Adventure

There is a place near Port Townsend that I have been wanting to go to for a long time.  It is known to the locals as Glass Beach. Many years ago, this area was the town dump.  It has cliffs along the beach and the garbage was dumped over the cliff, which now makes for lots of seaglass. It is a 3-4 mile walk on the beach from North Beach.  I was up for the challenge, but then we checked the tides and ferry schedule and things didn't quite work right for us.  So Scott suggested that we hop aboard the boat and drive it right up to the beach.  So the adveture began.  We launched the boat, Scott, Tanner and I, and we were off.  Our plan worked out perfectly and we had a great day at the beach.

Shortly after arriving I explained to Tanner that at this beach people occasionally find marbles.  I told him that I would give him $5 if he found one.  He was determined to find one! We searched for quite a while coming up with lots of seaglass, but no marbles. Scott and Tanner went up the beach in the boat and we decided we would walk and meet eachother. After a while of looking I looked up and saw Tanner running towards me, I knew he must have found something good. This is what he found. He definetly earned his $5.

We had a great time and found lots of glass, so now I am ready to get busy.

A Basket for Cash

Cash is just a little guy, 18 months old, who was diagnosed with a PNET Tumor in his brain stem. I can not even imagine what it would be like to go through something like that. There has definetly been many prayers for this family and will definetly be many more. To read about Cash's story, check out his blog here. There is going to be an auction on May 21st to raise money to help the Parriera's with all the medical expenses.  I will be gone the weekend of the auction, but I've decided to donate a basket to the auction. With the help of my mom this is what we made. The frame will hopefully be filled with a picture of Cash before the auction (Thanks Jodi!)
If you are interested in attending the auction or donating to the Parriera's, check out the Caring for Cash website. Please continue to pray for this family, and for those of you who are attending the auction, have fun and happy bidding!

Busy, Busy, Busy

It has been a busy week around here.  I've had many people getting Mother's Day gifts and I'm trying to stay on top of making more so everyone has a good variety to pick from.  I've still got lots of stuff so if you are looking for that special gift for that special mom just let me know.  Here's a few that I made today.
I'm also still trying to get a gallery going.  If you look over to the right you will see where you can find some items that I have.  So far I just have frames on there, necklaces should be coming soon (possibly before the night is over), and also stay tuned for more items.
